1. What is a profile?
A profile contains all data about your current category and image structure.
2. What you can do with profiles?
- Backup your current configuration
- Load other profiles
- Switch between different user profiles
You can copy such file to your computer to keep it save. You can store several of such profiles on your device and switch fast between them. An therapist for example might prepare several profiles for different target groups (eg. 5 year olds, 10 year olds) and switch to the one fitting best for a patient just before giving the device to the patient.
You can share such profile between different devices. So if a therapist has more then one device (for example a school class) he can easily share them to all devices of his pupils.
You can share the profiles with others via email, bluetooth, Google drive and tons of other technologies.
The Profiles are device independent, so it should also work between different devices (tablet / smartphones) of different manufacturers.
The profiles should also be compatible in case LetMeTalk gets ported to other operating systems (like iOS or WindowsPhone) one day.
3. Where are the profiles saved?
All profiles are saved on your local device storage at the following path:$SDCARD/Android/data/de.appnotize.letmetalk/files/backup
If you have a file manager, you can copy files from/to this folder and take them to your computer as a backup.
