We just released the new version 1.3.11 of LetMeTalk for iOS. While the fixes for problems some users experienced on iOS9, it contained other neat stuff you might interested in!
1. Fix Problems with iOS9
This mostly meant to provide a 64bit version of LetMeTalk, as iOS9 on 64bit devices (most newer ones) seemed to have ceased the support of 32bit apps. This was easier then we expected to be, even though it meant to switch to the so called "unified API" on our Xamarin tools.
Most of that stuff was done automaticly but of course some bug fixing had to be done manually...
2. Use right idiom of a language
So far the we used only one idiom per language, so for example every user of english got british english or every chinese user got mandarin. Now we honor the region you set for your device.
For example, if you set the language to English and your device region is set to the USA, you get american english, while a user from the UK gets british english. Or an Chinese from the Chinese mainland gets Mandarin and in HongKong will get Cantonese.
We hope this will make it more convienient to use LetMeTalk in those regions now getting better language support!
3. Speed of speaking
We changed the way we calculate the speed of talking and hope it now is "right" on all devices. It should be slightly slower then usual as there were a lot of comments that the speech is too fast and hard to understand!
Please report to us, if it is now good for you or still too fast / slow. In that case we might have to add some slider to change the speed.
4. Coming soon: version 1.3.12
Today we also put the next version 1.3.12 into the Apple Approval process, which should (hopefully) go online in 1-2 weeks.
It will contain an important bugfix for importing profiles. So far there were cases when certain images were not correctly displayed when importing images from Android.
It also contains again a crashreporter. While this might not be of interrest for you, it helps us to keep LetMeTalk stable and quite crash free. Therefore it is important for us to have the crash reporter back in. We had to leave it out in 1.3.11 because it was not yet ready for iOS9 when we uploaded the 1.3.11 version to Apple...
